My approach is Integrative Transpersonal — which means I don’t just look at how you think and behave, but who you feel you are, how you carry that in your body, and how you connect with the people and the world around you.

It’s a very relational type of therapy, using many different perspectives to look at many client issues, from the psychological to the spiritual. I look at symptoms and behaviour, past history and traumas as well as current stress factors. It’s an approach that takes in mind, body, spirit and soul.
I don’t believe therapy should only be practical or purely cognitive — I bring intuition alongside theory and evidence, following what’s actually happening between us in the room as much as what’s being said out loud. Our souls, or true selves, speak through stories, but can also be covered by adopted beliefs and narratives learned through the experiences of life, particularly in childhood.
I explore your conscious thoughts and feelings, but also what might be happening beneath them — through imagery, dreams, what shows up in the body, and quiet reflection. We go wherever feels right for you; some people want to work with dreams and imagery, others simply want to talk. Some come to be held gently, heard and understood, and some want to be challenged in their beliefs and narratives. I adapt to what you need, not the other way around.

Working with couples
I work with couples to help them overcome communication issues and reconnect with what’s important to them — as individuals, and as a partnership.
All relationships go through periods of challenge and disruption. Sometimes this comes from everyday stresses or difficult life situations; sometimes it’s because each person’s emotional history has got a little tangled up with the other’s, and old patterns start showing up in new arguments.
I work relationally, which means I’m as interested in what happens between you in the room as in what either of you tells me individually — the dynamic itself often holds the clues. And because my approach is transpersonal, we don’t just stay with the practical and everyday; we can also look at the deeper, sometimes unspoken currents — old wounds, unmet needs, the stories you’re each carrying — that shape how you meet each other.
I’m here to help with the detangling — creating a space where you can both be heard, understand what’s really going on beneath the surface, and find your way back to each other.”
Mental health MOT
Not everyone feels ready for ongoing therapy, but might like to check in with a professional about something that’s been on their mind. The Mental Health MOT is a single 1.5-hour session, or a block of 3 50 minute sessions over 3 weeks, offering a different perspective on whatever you’re facing, and some handy tools to help you through.
